No one ever expects to be in a state of crisis. When these situations occur it can be difficult to know how to respond or help an employee. Knowing where to turn to can be helpful in a time of need. Matrix is available 24/7, 365, and can be accessed by anyone in need no matter the time of day.

Management Consultations

Being a manager in today’s business climate has never been more difficult. Knowing the best way to respond to a difficult situation is the key to a successful engagement. As a part of our Employee Assistance Program, management can call on Matrix anytime to receive a management consultation session on issues such as wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, problematic employees, etc. To access this benefit give us a call at 800-886-1171.

Management Reporting

Supervisor Training

Matrix provides 30- to 45-minute online training webinars to improve how supervisors address employee work or behavioral issues. Training will cover two basic types of supervisory referrals:

  • Formal Referrals: an employee signs authorization for communication between the psychologist and HR or management.
  • Informal referrals: the EAP is suggested to an employee by management or HR without necessitating feedback.

Additionally, participants can take an exam following the webinar to receive a certificate of completion.

Supervisory Referral

Matrix offers consultations for supervisory level employees on how to manage their employees to elicit their maximum potential. Supervisors are also an essential part of the process of creating understanding about what an EAP program offers its employees. As a result, supervisors will also be instructed on how to utilize their Employee Assistance Program to help with any troublesome situations.

Workplace Trauma/Crisis Response

At your request, Matrix will be on-site to help employees return to normalcy in the aftermath of traumatic events such as incidents of workplace violence, natural disasters, or even something as common as a car accident involving an employee.

A typical Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) consists of a process group made up of employees both directly and indirectly involved in the incident as well as having a psychologist available either onsite or virtually to provide individual one-on-one sessions. Primary components of a CISD include normalization of overwhelming reactions and emotions, a “safe” environment for the necessary processing and integration of the event, opportunity for peer and professional support, and the opportunity to obtain professional assistance if needed.
