Alex Childs, MSEd, LPCC
Alex Childs (he/him/his) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. Alex received an Associates of Arts degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Columbus State Community College, as well as his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the Ohio State University. He also holds his Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton.
Alex works at the Worthington and Easton locations as an outpatient clinician, providing mental health services to adolescents, adults, and couples. Alex works from a gentle, holistic standpoint of addressing concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, intimacy, infidelity, sexual orientation, trauma, discrimination, and/or identity. Alex excels at working with the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and the Deaf/hard-of-hearing communities. He is fluent in American Sign Language.
Alex uses a blend of empirically based modalities to foster a supportive, transparent, and validating environment to achieve change and growth toward each client’s individual goals. He believes in every client’s potential to foster peace, joy, and fulfillment in their life.
