Lauren Wright Ph.D
Lauren Wright, Ph.D., will be joining Matrix Psychological Services in June of 2020. She has a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Indiana University – Bloomington, and she is a licensed psychologist in the state of Ohio. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at The Ohio State University’s Counseling and Consultation Service. Her priority with her clients is to foster an open, trusting, and genuine relationship with her that facilitates their treatment. She integrates a variety of empirically supported techniques along with other theoretically-based techniques. She tailors her work to clients’ needs, presenting concerns, and expressed interests. She enjoys working with people with a variety of mental health concerns in individual therapy. These include but are not limited to generalized anxiety, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, relational issues, identity development, coping with grief, adjustment and phase of life challenges, and work-life balance. She is also interested in working with transgender individuals. She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is a manualized treatment for PTSD with a great deal of research supporting its effectiveness. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, practicing yoga, cooking, and reading. Dr. Wright is willing and eager to provide telemental health treatment through an online and secured audiovisual platform.
