Marka Kompa, PhD, MBA, MS
Dr. Marka Kompa, PhD, MBA, MS, is a Psychology Resident who provides psychotherapy, psychological evaluations, psycho-educational evaluations, psychometrics, and forensic services. Areas of expertise include psychological assessment and diagnosis, treatment of mood disorders, depression, anxiety and PTSD, individual/couples/family psychotherapy, forensic evaluation and treatment, chronic pain team-management, and evaluation and treatment of psychological conditions secondary to physical injury. Additionally, Marka spent 10 years working in a corporate setting including a management/leadership role focused on sales and business planning. This experience has been of substantial value for clients with vocational rehabilitation and goal-setting needs, as well as role identification and career assessment. Her psychotherapy orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She uses autogenic training, behavior modification, catharsis, cognitive restructuring, and re-framing techniques. Her personal interests include Positive and Developmental Psychology. She created the Pursuit Planning Paradigm, A Plan for Planning intervention/seminar, which has proven to be of immense significant value based on a statistical review of performance and validity-when conducted among individuals and in a group setting. The paradigm provides a conceptual formation for the successful planning of endeavors by identifying and sustaining objectives in effort to attain goals.
