Terrance Tilford, MA LPCC
Terrance is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. Terrance received his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. After a successful business career, Terrance chose to pursue his passion of pouring into the lives of others and went on to earn his Masters of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Ashland University.
Terrance provides individual counseling to adults and emerging adults struggling with emotional and behavioral concerns such as anxiety, depression, anger, men’s issues, relationship concerns, Christian counseling, sexual addiction, and stress management. He believes in using evidence-based treatment modalities emphasizing his approach to treatment which suggests that the client is the expert of their own life and the primary key to resolving the issues of their lives. Terrance incorporates the theoretical approaches of Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Brief Therapy.
Terrance promotes the power of the therapeutic relationship and provides an open and engaging environment that is free of judgment and assists the client in self-exploration. He believes that this is the key to the client developing the skills to manage the challenges of their lives and ultimately becoming their own advocate for change.
