Despite amassing a group of skilled and qualified employees, organizations don’t always reach their potential. The Matrix Team Building Process harnesses the collective talents of your team rather than the abilities of each member to take productivity and innovative thinking to the next level. Find out what your team is doing well, what areas need improvement, and how strengths can better align to achieve a higher level of performance.
What is the Matrix Team Building Process?
Step 1: Our licensed PsyD providers conduct clinical interviews. This allows us to inventory the strengths and weaknesses of your unique team to identify opportunities for development. The core competencies we focus on include collaboration abilities, communication patterns, leadership styles, workplace culture, principles, values, and personality.
Step 2: Matrix analyzes the data and provides each member of the team with a comprehensive report of his/her results, including overarching insights and themes about their team as a whole.
Step 3: Team leaders are given a copy of each associate’s report, including overarching insights and themes, recommendations, and suggestions for individual development.
Step 4: Matrix conducts a debriefing session to discuss key findings. At this point, we can begin to strategize how to leverage findings to improve productivity, efficiency, and collaboration.
Our Cultural Mosaic Process
Through the use of sophisticated psychometric instruments and interviewing techniques, Matrix identifies key workplace traits and styles to help company leaders understand what the best fit looks like for their organization and how to communicate the identifiers of a best-fit candidate with key personnel. Ultimately, the goal of our Cultural Mosaic Process is to help organizations create an ongoing, seamless leadership development program. To accomplish this, we:
- Evaluate senior leadership to get a sense of your corporate culture
- Utilize sophisticated testing tools and face-to-face interviews with team members to determine the appropriate “fit” within the organization
- Individually coach leadership team members to enhance their performance levels
- Leverage newly-discovered information to assess future applicants via our Pre-Employment Evaluation Process to reduce turnover
The first step towards sustainable profitability is placing the right people in the right positions within your organization. Put simply; it’s all about “fit.” No matter the strength of your business model, if you do not have the right people steering the ship, you will inevitably find yourself in troubled waters. This is why we developed the Matrix Leadership Pre-Employment Screening Process.
Over three decades of experience working with Fortune 500 executives taught us an important lesson. Leaders don’t become indispensable to their organizations for strengths in many things, but rather, for excellence in just a few. We used this insight to design our Leadership Development Program, which focuses on identifying an individual’s top strength and nurturing that quality to make them extraordinary leaders.
Matrix psychologists are frequently asked by human resource personnel and legal counsel to perform independent psychological evaluations (IPE) to determine the nature, extent, and primary cause of an employee’s psychological and emotional distress. IPEs also assess the adequacy of their psychological treatment, their “fitness” to return to work, and whether or not they are at risk for harming themselves or others.
