For HR & Supervisors

The Matrix EAP includes consultation services for supervisors and human resource professionals. Speak with experts who can assist in addressing individual and organizational concerns safely and effectively.

We specially designed our EAP services to tackle the most common workplace challenges while providing needed care to employees. In addition to free, over-the-phone consultations, supervisors and HR reps can refer an employee to the EAP for support. In serious cases related to job performance, litigation, behavioral issues, and other issues, they can also mandate treatment or assessment, and acquire the employee’s written consent for release of information. In any event, our goal is to help resolve the issue, save the employee’s job, and create a workable solution that ensures the employee’s continued success.

Workplace Crisis Stabilization

[ Summary ] Immediate professional crisis intervention services are available for all human resource, security, and supervisory associates through our workplace crisis stabilization program. This program is designed to reestablish structure, safety, and order in a crisis, such as:

  • Robbery or Attempted Robbery
  • Death (suicide, murder, accidental or unexpected)
  • Kidnapping or Hostage Situations
  • Significant Injury or Illness
  • Unusual and Disturbing Customer Interaction
  • Accidental Fire or Arson
  • Illegal Activity (e.g., embezzlement or theft)
  • Difficult Employee Terminations
  • Natural Disasters

We encourage employers to call us directly at 800-886-1171 if any concerns or suspicions warrant an immediate, over-the-phone consultation. Our experienced psychologists will promptly provide advice and continued support.

Supervisor Training

Matrix provides 30- to 45-minute online training webinars to improve how supervisors address employee work or behavioral issues. Training will cover two basic types of supervisory referrals:

  • Formal Referrals: an employee signs authorization for communication between the psychologist and HR or management.
  • Casual referrals: the EAP is suggested to an employee by management or HR without necessitating feedback.

Additionally, participants can take an exam following the webinar to receive a certificate of completion.
